Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Sales Specialist to support our growing sales operations at VARA Machinery. Based in Basra, this role will involve direct customer engagement, lead follow-up, and coordination with product, service, and marketing teams to drive sales of our heavy machinery and truck product lines.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic sales professional with experience in the automotive or heavy equipment sector, ready to build their career with one of Iraq’s leading equipment providers.
Responsibilities:
– Engage with potential customers to understand their equipment needs and recommend suitable products
– Follow up on leads, inquiries, and ongoing sales opportunities
– Prepare quotations, proposals, and assist with contract finalization
– Support CRM data entry and maintain customer records
– Coordinate with after-sales and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction
– Participate in showroom activities, field visits, and promotional events
– Maintain knowledge of product specifications, features, and competitive advantages
– Report regularly on sales activity and customer feedback
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
* Minimum 2 years of experience in sales within the automotive, truck, or heavy machinery industry
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
* Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
* Fluent in Arabic and English (Kurdish is a plus)
* Customer-focused mindset and a passion for closing deals
* Willingness to travel locally as needed
* Ownership of a personal vehicle is preferred.
