Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Support Engineer with a diverse skill set, including strong expertise in Linux system administration, Postgres, MySQL, FreeRadius, Bash, TCP/IP networks, iptables, and the ability to read and interpret various types of log files. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Linux system administration and a demonstrated ability to pinpoint and resolve issues by analyzing log files effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced technical support to customers across multiple channels, including email, phone, and ticketing system.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues related to Linux systems, MySQL databases, FreeRadius, TCP/IP networks.
• Utilize log file analysis to identify the root cause of problems and implement appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer issues promptly and effectively.
• Document support processes, troubleshooting procedures, and solutions for internal and external knowledge bases.
• Continuously improve support effectiveness and customer satisfaction through proactive measures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Linux system administrator.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.).
• Proficiency in shell scripts such as Bash.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL and Postgres database administration.
• Experience with FreeRadius authentication server.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networks, including TCP behavior and routing tables.
• Experience with iptables firewall configuration and management.
• Ability to read and interpret various types of log files to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Some knowledge of Mikrotik and Cisco routers

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, etc.).
• Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing support role.
• Excellent English, verbal and written.
• Relevant certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or equivalent.
