We are seeking a dedicated HR and Recruitment Officer to support our Baghdad branch operations. This role is focused on managing recruitment processes and overseeing day-to-day HR administrative tasks on-site. The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, and reliable, with a hands-on approach to supporting a fast-paced and growing team.

This role reports directly to the Branch Manager in Baghdad, while also maintaining coordination with the central People & Culture team for documentation, compliance, and process alignment. It is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their HR and recruitment skills within a supportive and dynamic EdTech environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for Baghdad branch roles, including:
    • Posting job vacancies and screening applications.

    • Coordinating interviews with relevant team leads.

    • Supporting offers and hiring formalities.

  • Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and files (physical and digital).
  • Support onboarding logistics for new hires in coordination with the central team.
  • Monitor attendance and leaves; coordinate with payroll and admin where required.
  • Assist in processing employee letters, contracts, and documentation.
  • Ensure HR compliance with local labor laws and company procedures.
  • Act as the go-to person for all HR-related queries at the branch.

Requirements and skills:

  • 6 months – 1 year of experience in HR administration or recruitment.
  • Familiarity with recruitment tools, HR databases, and documentation practices.
  • Basic knowledge of Iraq labor law and social security processes.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office (especially Sheets/Excel).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, or a related field.
