Job Summary:

Site Engineer responsible for performing a technical, organizational and supervisory role on installation projects, setting out and determining the location for above and underground infrastructural installations involved in construction operations.

   Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Act as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, crafts people and operatives;
• Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations;
• Ensure that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications;
• Oversee the selection and requisition of materials and plant;
• Manage, monitor and interpret the contract design documents supplied by the client or the draftsman;
• Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors
• Plan the work and efficiently organize the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines.
• Communicate with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress;
• Oversee quality control and health and safety matters on site;
• Prepare reports as required;
• Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
• Perform other job duties as assigned

   Required Qualifications:

   Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.

   Experience Requirements:

• Min 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas
• Proven management of works related to construction
• Experience of managing and coordinating complexity and time

•  Maintain a complete headcount in the entity, and request employees in case of shortage.
•  Follow up constantly on the quantity and quality of work, and on the completion of tasks.
•  Continuously manage the performance of the employees and provide coaching and constructive feedback.
•  Safeguard discipline at work, and handle policies of noncompliance such as absenteeism, tardiness…
•  Regularly communicate with staff to maintain positive relationships.
•  Encourage employees’ initiatives and new ideas.

   Health, Safety and Security

• Familiarize self with the Health and Safety requirements and ensure that the Technical team promotes and comply with them
• Take responsibility to rectify hazardous situations, reporting major areas of concern to the Management.
• Ensure security incidents reviewed and corrective measures implemented to prevent recurring incidents.
