Senior Accountant – Baghdad, Iraq

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with local and group accounting requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Financial reporting and general ledger oversight
• Month-end and year-end close processes
• Accounts receivable (AR) and revenue oversight
• Accounts payable (AP) and expense control
• Cash and treasury management
• Balance sheet reconciliations and internal controls
• Marketing claims, trade promotions, and deductions
• Intercompany transactions and cross-charges
• Audit, tax, and compliance support
• ERP and financial systems oversight

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong accounting and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with SharePoint is a plus
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
• Service-minded, well-organized, and solution-oriented
• High integrity, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Fluency in English
