The CRJ (CL65) Captain is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of CRJ (CL65) aircraft in accordance with company policies, the Operations Manual, and applicable aviation authority regulations. The captain exercises full command authority over the aircraft, crew, and passengers from the commencement to the completion of each flight.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Act as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) of the CRJ (CL65) aircraft.
• Ensure the safety of passengers, crew, aircraft, and cargo at all times.
• Operate flights in full compliance with company SOPs, the Operations Manual (OM), the MEL, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain command authority and make operational decisions in normal, abnormal, and emergency situations.
• Ensure proper flight planning, fuel management, and weather assessment.
• Supervise, brief, and coordinate with the First Officer and cabin crew.
• Ensure aircraft documentation, technical log entries, and reports are completed accurately.
• Report technical defects, incidents, or irregularities according to company procedures.
• Maintain a high standard of CRM, TEM, and airmanship.
• Represent the airline professionally at all times.
• Maintain valid licenses, medical certificates, and required recency.
• Participate in training, checks, and company safety programs as required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 5,000 total flying hours on MPA, of which 1,000 hours are as Commander on type
• Current on type
• Valid Iraqi ATPL or ICAO/EASA ATPL acceptable to the ICAA
• Valid Instrument Rating
• Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate with No OML restriction
• Valid ICAO Language Proficiency (minimum Level 4)
• No incident or accident record
• No criminal record
