Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Construction Accountant, located in Baghdad. The Construction Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing accounting reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and procedures. Daily tasks include budgeting, cost tracking, managing accounts payable and receivable, analyzing financial data related to construction projects, and collaborating with project managers and other departments to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of financial management and budgeting for construction projects
• Proficiency in bookkeeping and handling accounts payable and receivable
• Ability to analyze and manage cost tracking and financial reporting
• Competence in accounting software and tools, as well as data analysis
• Experience working in construction accounting or related industries is highly preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
• Knowledge of local regulatory requirements and best practices in construction accounting
