Job Summary:

The Finance Manager will oversee the company’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to ensure profitability and compliance with industry standards. This role includes managing cash flow, cost control, tax compliance, and financial risk while supporting capital investment decisions. The Finance Manager will also lead and develop the finance team, ensuring accurate reporting and alignment with the company’s business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Lead the preparation of the company’s annual budget, in collaboration with department heads.

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasting, aligning with the company’s business objectives.

Analyze variances between actual financial performance and budget, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.

Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end financial closings.

Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit processes.

Implement effective cost control measures across the distribution and installation operations to optimize resource allocation.

Monitor and analyze cost structures, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

Oversee pricing strategies for gas distribution and installation services, ensuring profitability while remaining competitive.

Manage the company’s cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for day-to-day operations and capital investment projects.

Oversee the management of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.

Maintain banking relationships and optimize credit facilities to support business expansion.

Ensure the company complies with all financial regulations, industry standards, and local laws, particularly regarding gas distribution and safety regulations.

Develop and implement financial risk management policies, including insurance, hedging, and other protective measures.

Evaluate and mitigate financial risks associated with the gas distribution and installation processes, including supply chain risks and fuel price fluctuations.

Conduct financial analysis of potential capital investment projects, including expansions, equipment purchases, and installation projects.

Provide recommendations on capital allocation to maximize return on investment and company growth.

Ensure compliance with local tax laws, including VAT, corporate tax, and any specific taxes related to gas distribution.

Manage tax planning and optimization strategies to minimize tax liabilities.

Oversee the submission of regulatory financial reports and ensure accurate, timely filing with authorities.

Lead and develop the finance team, including accountants, analysts, and financial clerks.

Set objectives, mentor, and provide performance feedback to team members.

Ensure the finance team stays updated with industry changes and financial best practices.

Required Qualifications:

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

Professional: CPA or CMA or CFA credentials is a plus.

Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling.

Min 5 years relevant experience.

Professional Experience:

Proven expertise in principles, design and procedural methods used in big data analysis

Proven experience in project management tools

Hands-on experience working with statistical analysis and statistical packages

Knowledge of corporate finance, information analysis and financial diagnosis

Good oral and written communication skills in Kurdish, Arabic, and English
