Al Mutahida is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to lead the operations of a PET Preform manufacturing facility in Iraq.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the overall plant operations, ensuring production efficiency, quality performance, machine utilization, manpower productivity, safety compliance, and continuous improvement across all shifts.

Key Responsibilities

The Plant Manager will be responsible for:

• Leading daily factory operations and ensuring smooth production performance.

• Managing PET preform injection molding operations, machines, molds, utilities, and auxiliary equipment.

• Achieving daily, monthly, and annual production targets.

• Monitoring machine utilization, downtime, efficiency, and overall equipment performance.

• Coordinating with production, maintenance, quality, warehouse, planning, procurement, and HSE teams.

• Ensuring product quality, reducing rejection, scrap, and customer complaints.

• Controlling production costs, manpower productivity, energy consumption, and material waste.

• Implementing preventive actions to reduce machine breakdowns and production losses.

• Ensuring full compliance with safety, hygiene, and company operational standards.

• Leading, training, and developing supervisors, operators, technicians, and plant employees.

• Preparing and reviewing production, quality, maintenance, manpower, and performance reports.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong technical background in plastic injection molding.

• Knowledge of PET preform manufacturing processes is highly preferred.

• Training in production management, lean manufacturing, quality systems, maintenance, or HSE is an advantage.

Required Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations.

• Minimum 5 years in a managerial role within PET preform, plastic packaging, FMCG, or related industries.

• Strong experience with injection molding machines, molds, hot runners, dryers, chillers, compressors, and factory utilities.

• Proven experience in managing multi-shift production operations.

• Experience in Iraq or the regional manufacturing market is an advantage.
