Job Description

Mission of the job

Procurement Officers process purchasing transactions for equipment, materials, supplies, capital goods and services.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • ·      Negotiation with Suppliers/Contractors to grab discounts (proper price drop) & confirming best delivery & payment terms in cooperation with Logistic & Finance section respectively in order to obtain best competitive Quotations/Proposals upon the requested RFQ/RFP/RFI asked by different departments.
  • ·      Contacting national vendors by preparing invitation of bid-forms, mail forms and arrange Quotation comparisons upon different supplier responds inconsideration for reducing financial costs with keeping proper quality upon relevant department discretion.
  • ·      Making sure that the procurement activities is up to the standard and is in accordance with the procurement policy of Asiacell.
  • ·      Making sure that the procurement activities is handled with transparency and it’s up to the Asiacell’ policy.
  • ·      Working with and under the direct instruction and guide of the Opco Led procurement
  • ·      Manager in HQ.
  • ·      Discussing the raised requests within Qty, Quality, and Type with the relative departments based on SCM Policy.
  • ·      Arranging for Preparing Purchase Orders according to the Management approvals & Asiacell procurement policy, and setting up contracts with close cooperation & guidance from contract Management team.
  • ·      Insuring timeline for the yearly contract’s renewals.
  • ·      Insuring tactical yearly contracting for the Department’s needs (the frequent supply material and services).
  • ·      Fulfilling any other duties requested by his supervisor.
  • ·      Preparing requested report to supervisor.
Requirements
  • ·      Bachelor’s Degree
  • ·      1-3 years of experience should have knowledge of supply chain, production and processing, customer and personal service.
  • ·      Computer skills (Office)
  • ·      Language skills (English, Arabic)
