Job Description
Location: Basra and Baghdad
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for aggressively driving market penetration and revenue growth within the assigned Iraqi territory. The primary focus is “Hunting” identifying and acquiring new business opportunities (B2B/B2G) and complex projects while maintaining and expanding current accounts. The candidate will serve as the lead point of contact for project lifecycles, from lead generation and stakeholder mapping to technical solution delivery and final financial collection.
Growth & Market Expansion
Lead Generation: Proactively generate market demand and identify high-value opportunities through field research and professional networking.
Account Acquisition: Target and acquire new accounts across both Private (B2B) and Public (B2G) sectors to achieve quarterly new-logo targets.
Strategic Vertical Focus: Develop and execute growth strategies for Information Technology, ICT, and IoT solutions within defined vertical markets.
Market Intelligence: Conduct in-depth regional market analysis to identify business opportunities; collect and report competitor pricing and offerings to regional sales management.
2. Relationship & Stakeholder Management
Strategic Mapping: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and C-level executives within the Iraqi market.
Client Advocacy: Act as a trusted advisor by anticipating client needs and ensuring successful adoption of the company’s technology solutions.
Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication channels between customers and internal cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project objectives.
3. Project & Order Management
Pipeline Management: Utilize CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce/Odoo) to manage and analyze the sales pipeline, providing data-driven insights to support deal closure.
Technical Coordination: Collaborate with pre-sales and technical teams to ensure proposed solutions meet client requirements and specifications.
Financial Hygiene: Manage the end-to-end order lifecycle, including invoice coordination and accounts receivable (AR) follow-ups, to support profitability and cash flow.
4. Field Operations & Reporting
Geographic Coverage: Conduct regular field visits to assigned accounts and provinces in accordance with company car allowance policies.
Reporting: Provide continuous field feedback, market insights, and professional product presentations using approved company sales tools.
Operational Support: Support on-ground activities and special projects as assigned by the direct manager.
Education & Experience:
Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, IT Science, or Business Administration. Experience: * Minimum 5 years in Sales and Account Management.
At least 3 years specifically in IT/Tech Sales (Hardware/Software/Solutions)

Hard Skills Proven track record in Account Penetration and Market Positioning.
Strong knowledge of ICT/IoT/Information technology.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint) and CRM software.
Project coordination skills for managing complex delivery timelines.
Soft Skills
Negotiation: Robust skills in closing high-value commercial offers.
Communication: Fluent in Arabic and English (Written and Spoken).
Self-Drive: Results-oriented with a proven ability to work independently in remote provinces.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to study regional data and assess impact on market demand.
