Job Description

Tasks and Duties

  • Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking.
  • Research for new products or vendors to reduce costs, improve quality, and delivery time.
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Preparing procurement reports.
  • Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a qualified list of vendors who have favorable prices, terms, quality, delivery, and technical services.
  • conduct meetings, prepare, and present reports, and provide information to identify purchasing requirements, establish business plans and performance objectives, and report performance against plan and business objectives.
  • Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in procurement, with a minimum of 10 years, with a proven record in purchasing, is a must.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in procurement.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Knowledge of sustainability and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific procurement requirements.
  • Data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Excellent in using Microsoft Office, and CRM & SAP experience is a must.
    – Excellent in English (Reading, writing, and listening).
