Ayass Automotive, the authorized dealer for Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac in Iraq, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Service Technician to join our dynamic service team in Baghdad and contribute to delivering exceptional after-sales service that meets global General Motors standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac vehicles in accordance with GM manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using advanced GM diagnostic tools and systems.
• Execute repairs accurately, efficiently, and within specified timelines while ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

Workshop & Safety Compliance

• Follow all workshop safety regulations and promptly report any unsafe conditions.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and well-equipped workspace, ensuring proper handling and care of all tools and diagnostic devices.
• Complete job cards and service documentation accurately, and request new tasks from the workshop controller or team leader as needed.

Customer Interaction & Reporting

• Communicate with the team leader or workshop controller regarding vehicle status, parts requirements, and repair recommendations.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities clearly and completely in service reports and logs.
• Ensure vehicles are returned to customers in optimal condition, meeting all safety and performance expectations.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Prior experience working with General Motors vehicles (Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac) is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with GM technical systems, service bulletins, and diagnostic protocols is a strong advantage.
• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Intermediate level of English (reading and speaking).
